ELIGIBILITY: Candidates who have passed pre-university examination (10+2 or any other equivalent examination recognised by the board with a minimum of 40% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects with English as a subject of study. In case of candidates belonging to SC/ST the minimum percentage of marks shall be 35% in the qualifying subjects.
DURATION :4 ½ years, consisting of 4 years of study and 6 months of rotatory internship.
The curriculum consists of various subjects pertaining to medial and physiotherapeutic subjects along with few subjects of personality developmental, constitutional, ethical and moral values. Physiotherapy is a specialized course with Bachelor of Physiotherapy program as a stepping-stone. Thereafter one can pursue Masters of Physiotherapy course in various specialties according to one’s interest. A person oriented towards research can pursue PhD program also in Physiotherapy. The various specialties available in MPT program are; Musculoskeletal, Neurology and Psychosomatic disorders, Cardio-Respiratory, Pediatrics, and Community Rehabilitation.

Bachelor of Physiotherapy or BPT is an undergraduate professional course that deals with the structure of the human body focusing on preventing diseases and disability related to movement. BPT course duration is 4 years along with 6 month compulsory clinical internship.
Is BPT is a good course in future?
Bpt is a good career option for the future but you need to keep in mind that there is a minimum scope for female physios in India. My elder sister is a physio as well and right now she is in the USA for her training because there is a huge spectrum of opportunities outside India for a Physio.
